History

AMA was started by a group of Moroccans and Friends of Morocco in the summer of 2004. The association was created in order to fill a social need in the Atlanta Metro area. As late years have witnessed a surge in the Moroccan American community in this area, that void became more obvious, and the needs to satisfy it even more.

Our Mission is to strengthen ties among Moroccans, Americans, and other friends of Morocco, by encouraging friendship and creating opportunities for collaboration and cross-cultural sharing.

The goals of the organization are:

To help preserve the social and cultural heritage of Morocco for future generations.
To serve as a source of information for travelers to and from Morocco.
To bring together individuals with an interest in Morocco by organizing social and cultural events, such as movies, music, dance, lifestyle shows, conferences, culinary culture demonstrations, and wedding celebrations.
To promote international cooperation with Morocco.
To promote respect and friendship between the peoples of Morocco and the United States of America. <
